'Tri-it' this weekend!

It’s not too late to enter the Omara Cycles Tri-it Women’s Triathlon! Online entries have closed but entry will be available from 2pm to 4pm on Saturday, 6 March and on the morning of the event from 5:30am.

The Omara Cycles Tri-it Women's Triathlon is a brand new event designed specifically for women. Held on Sunday, 7 March at Peter Scullin Reserve, Moridalloc, it focuses on fun and participation, offering you a friendly, motivating and non-intimidating experience of triathlon.

There will be a FREE transition familiarisation clinic, taken by Triathlon Response Group, this Saturday at the event site. Starting at 3pm, the clinic will introduce you to the race area and what is involved on race day – for example: the registration procedure, the transition area and the requirements of a triathlon. The aim: to put your mind at ease for race day.

On event day, our major partner Omara Cycles will be presenting and supplying all your bike needs. KSWISS will be on hand to discuss your running requirements and will show you the latest and greatest in shoe technology while XOSIZE will be displaying a great range of triathlon products and you will be able to take part in body composition testing and a fun fitness challenge.

Plus, make sure you stop at the Fernwood gyms stretch zone after your event to start your post-event recovery with them.

All participants who finish the Omara Cycles Tri-it Women's Triathlon will receive a medal, with trophies awarded to the fastest three competitors in each of the Mini and Sprint triathlons. There are also some great random prizes up for grabs, including Merida bikes, $75 bike tyre vouchers from Omara Cycles, 2XU run tops, XOSIZE vouchers and KSWISS runners.

So, set yourself a 'Starter' (100m/3km/500m), 'Mini' (200m/8km/2km) or 'Sprint' (400m/16km/4km) Triathlon challenge and enter now!
