RunWorld – “Run for all & all for run!”
Just when you got your head around Dean Karnazes running 50 marathons, in 50 days, in 50 states of America, he’s gearing up for another unprecedented marathon feat.
Starting in Sydney in November 2011, and ending at the 2012 New York Marathon, the ultramarathon man will run 42.2K in all of the world’s 195 countries.
Why?
“I think the world could use something like this right about now,” he told RW Aus & NZ.
“There are so many things that divide us, that tear us apart, here is something that can bring people together, something that can unify and strengthen us.”
Karnazes says running is a truly universal sport and one that anyone can do regardless of race, creed, socio-economic status or anything else.
“The beauty of this endeavour is to invite others from across the globe to run with me and engage in this challenge.”
