On Sunday 22 November, help The Olympic Dream celebrate its 20th anniversary by joining in the fun and excitement of this time-honoured event.
Indeed, for the last two decades, The Olympic Dream has brought together people from all walks of life who enjoy being active and supportive of Australian Olympians. In 2009, funds raised from the event will go towards the 2012 Australian Olympic Team.
Held at Birrarung Marr, alongside the Yarra River, The Olympic Dream offers participants the chance to walk or run five or ten kilometres with scenic cityscape views of marvellous Melbourne. There is also a 3km run for school students.
Furthermore, all finishers will receive an Olympic Dream medal honouring Olympic legend, the late Kerryn McCann. and those that have participated in the event each year since it’s inception in 1990 will receive an additional, exclusive commemorative medal. NOTE: to recieve this additional medal, you must enter the event before 5pm Friday 13 November.
So, don your running gear and prepare to run for our Olympians as they prepare to represent Australia in the 2012 London Olympics!
