Course

Run or walk the picturesque Yarra River loop course passing through Birrarung Marr.

Avoid the “jogger” tag


The late George Sheehan once wrote that the difference between a jogger and a runner is an entry form. So the simple way to avoid a term many runners object to is to enter an event.

As we move slowly away from the winter solstice and the days become longer, our thoughts turn to getting fitter and the Spring into Shape Series.

This year the series will be held on Sunday 12 September, 24 October, 14 November with its’ traditional distances of 4.3 or 8.5 kilometres run or walk and 12.8km run, around the Yarra River.

Each event this year will emphasise a different aspect of a runner’s or walker’s fitness with Sporting Spirit coach Brian Schepisi leading the team that does the free testing on the day.

Spring into Shape Series gives you the opportunity to measure your progress and improvement alongside what you have learnt at each event.

Series entrants will receive a free Brooks technical T-shirt valued at $70.
