Since triathlon’s debut in the 2000 Sydney Olympics and the success of Emma Snowsill and Emma Moffit in the triathlon at the 2008 Beijing Olympics, the sports appeal has been growing among Aussie women. Not surprising, as what other event combines three sports, works all the major muscle groups and gives you a trim, toned physique?

However, competing in a triathlon can be intimidating for some women looking to start out, which is why we’ve designed a brand new event specifically for women – the Omara Cycles Tri-it Women’s Triathlon. The Omara Cycles Tri-it Women’s Triathlon provides women with an opportunity to experience triathlon in a friendly, professional, motivating and un-daunting environment. The aim: to help you maintain an active lifestyle and to prove there is nothing you can’t do.

Omara Cycles Tri-it Women’s Triathlon is fun and participation, while also recognising excellence. Women can participate as an individual or in a team with their family and friends, whereby each member of the team completes a leg of the triathlon.

With the option of a ‘Starter’ (100m/3km/500m), a ‘Mini’ (200m/8km/2km) or a ‘Sprint’ (400m/16km/4km) Triathlon, women of all ages and abilities can participate and feel the sense of achievement that comes with accomplishing such a challenge.

So, get your mother, grandmother, daughter, sister or girlfriends together and improve your all-round fitness while meeting like-minded women and having a great time! Come on, ‘Tri-it’!
